My dream, My future

People think of the future too much that they forget to live in the present and regret what they did when time has passed.

“Things are how you look at it.” With a philosophy in mind, it would be much easier for me to reach my goals for it will serve as one of the things that will keep me going and never giving up on my dreams.

Being an artist is what I love to do; it is the most beautiful feeling in the world. Even though studies gets in the way of my sketching, painting, coloring and practicing I won’t let It be a hindrance for me to be better. I will always find time for the things that I love in life, things that make my life worthwhile. I simply love art; it is a new way to see the world from a different angle, where anything can happen, no rules to bound you and people dictating you. You are in your own world and imagination is your passage way. Where anything can be beautiful when given time and care. Being creative is the best thing for me. Other people’s works are my inspiration to strive hard in anything I do.

This is my dream, to do the things that make me happy. To follow my heart and spending life with people I love.

Change, It Starts With Me

Change is inevitable in nature for it naturally changes every day whether we notice it or not. Unfortunately, such statement cannot quite be said for maybe some of us humans. We long to have a better life, a life where there is no poverty, everyone is fed, no war just unity and corruption is nothing but a thing of the past. But… why hasn’t it happened yet? If we really want to change the “system”, it should have happened a long time ago. Sure, we all scream for change to happen but, are we willing to change ourselves first in order for that change to happen?

“Change, it starts with YOU!” people used to say but it ended up that “you” has been passed on to the next person to the next until it is forgotten. Sadly, some people are just waiting for change to just fall on their lap to make their lives better. For those who does want change and actually DO something about it, they ended up being seen as crazy for through the eyes of some people change is impossible. Some people often say that they are better than those people and refuse to follow the man or woman who did something for change. They say they are better but in reality he or she is just sitting there watching other people change the world for him or her, why doesn’t he or she help out? We don’t have to be a “somebody” to make a difference.

Presidents or leaders who truly want change, who has a vision for a world we all aspire ended up being blamed for the way people live. Like, they are poor, have no job, hungry, have too many children, and no food to feed their kids because of the person who is leading their community or nation. But, a lone person leading billions of different people can only do so much, we must all do our part if we want to change the way we live, do our part to make our people’s lives better. Don’t always depend on other people, we must move and do something. It doesn’t have to be something big, the little things can have a big influence too because “Everything We Do Counts”. Like a pebble being thrown in the water, even that makes a change in the way it flows; how much more a skipping stone?

Make a change and everyone else will follow. Together change can no longer be just a dream, if we stand our ground and never giving up for change starts when we decide.

Made in Ilocos

It is the time of the year again where a mixture of sounds, smell, and sight are different in Vigan. Beside the Ilocos Sur Capitol you can see crowds of people at the trade fair. It is time for Kannawidan, a festival for all Ilocanos and a must see tourist attraction. It is a time to showcase Ilocano’s unique talents to everyone, everything that makes Ylocos proud.

Kannawidan is a time for all the products of Ilocos Sur to come together in Vigan where they will be presented and sold. It gives an opportunity to all these places to show their talents, products that make them unique from the other places. People compete on friendly contests to show their talents, to not only improve one’s self but also give way to friendship. It is an event where all the provinces and cities of Ilocos Sur are all in one place; it will make you feel like you toured around Ilocos Sur without even paying for much fare. Kannawidan is a mixture of everything which showcases not only the unique talents of Ilocanos but also their culture and traditions. It will make you feel one with Ilocos Sur. Just being there, you will feel its warm welcome.

The event brings great joy to everyone, as it continues to entertain you with the different provinces’ and cities’ native treasures. It is a must see event and worth coming back for. As the years progress the creativity of Ilocanos improve to great heights so you can never guess what to expect. Kannawidan is anything but boring for with every turn something will always catch your eye.

3rd Grading almost Fin

At ICT this grading we learned more about blogging and experience new things with it. We interacted with our classmates and students from other sections. Heard their thoughts about our posts which all of them were acknowledged and highly appreciated. We continued our previous project and turned it into a site. Our group in our workstation worked together in designing the whole thing. We worked together to make it great. So you can say that was a challenge we encountered along the way but we got through it by teamwork though it was an effort for all of us.

Ofcourse challenges at school in inevitable so moving on.... I will strive even harder for myself and for everyone. Improving myself and enjoying the little pleasures of life at the same time. (o'^'o)b

New Year, New Adventure to Start

Everyone welcomed baby New Year with a bang like everyone does every New Year. Each one is hoping and wishing for something this New Year, luck, money, fortune or health. Everyone having their own meaning for the New Year, for me the New Year means a new chapter; a continuation of the last one. The last one that brought me greatly magnificent things and absolutely horrible things; unforgettable experiences that I’m sure I’ll laugh about… eventually. The last year brought me a bag of lessons that I hope I will be able to apply and remember as the New Year progresses. I made mistakes and hurt people which I will do my best never to do again. Victories that awaken me of the things I am capable of. All these things I got, I will continue and improve this year.

I hope for an adventure this year. Days of excitement, each day will have something to look forward to. I intend to make that happen, no idea will be ignored! I will try new things whenever given the chance and TRY to stop procrastinating. . .

Go forth to 2011! End each day admiring the rich orange sunset far in the horizon.

The Spirit of Christmas

Of course with Christmas there is always the thing called “The Spirit of Christmas”, something that makes Christmas, Christmas. Everyone has their own idea of such topic, mostly are: Sharing, giving, caring, hope and LOVE. It is a day for families to come together, sharing home cooked meals and chatting at the dinner table; which is, yeah really what Christmas is about. It is also about the birth of our Savior. Him coming here to relieve us of our sins, as a symbol of God showing how much He love us.

We all have our point of views of what Christmas is about, for me it is about being with the people you really care about whether you are related by blood or not. Together sharing laughter, stories, giving gifts, the joy on their faces is the most precious moments for me. A somewhat contagious feeling if you think about it.

Receiving gifts from them is like saying “Hey I remembered you. I cared enough to go out and took the time to make or buy you something because you are special to me”. Because material gifts are a symbol of caring not just shallow superficial things like some people may see it, at least if you look at it that way.

With all the commotion in our family we find a way around it in a way that we still have time for each other, spending Christmas with together. Making plans to make everyone happy and not feel alone on Christmas. For Christmas is the time to be together.
